Removing Tops is the chosen approach for remanufacture of most colour cartridges. Top removal
can be performed simply with a sharp craft or DIY knife. Alternatively, a variety of tools are available from the simple HP 25/49 top-popper to sophisticated top slicers for the volume

Replacement Tops
are frequently required for colour cartridges where the top is removed to refill the cartridge. It is recommended that tops are always replaced so that OEM branding on the original is removed.
